The Return of The King

The 20^th Century saw astounding fulfillment of Bible prophecy. We look forward with anticipation to see what the 21^st Century will bring – hopefully the return of Jesus to rule the earth, as he promised us so many times. When Jesus ascended through the clouds from the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem, the angels assured the watching disciples that he would return in the same way as he went. .

The Mount of Olives

From the angels messages, it seems likely that Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, as he is to return in the same way as he went. tends to confirm this idea. It tells us that the Lord will come to save Israel from their enemies and that his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. This is almost certainly the same event that the angels were referring to at Jesus' ascension.

Below are two photos of the Mount of Olives. We don't know the exact spot that Jesus ascended from – was it the summit where the Seven Arches Hotel now stands? Or was it the Garden of Gethsemane where he sometimes went with his disciples? Time will tell.
